Hummingbirds at Home

Sunday, April 23, 2017
2:00 PM - 4:00 PM

Crooked Creek Environmental Learning Center   Map This Location

To live such high energy lifestyles, hummingbirds must sync their migration and nesting times with the flowering of nectar-bearing plants. Learn how climate change threatens to throw off this delicate balance, with unknown repercussions for hummingbirds. In addition to learning how you can participate in Audubon's Hummingbirds at Home project, we will learn fun facts about these tiny dynamos and learn how to make your yard hummingbird-friendly with native plants. Participants will get to take home a hummingbird feeding tube to make their own feeders at home, one per household.
This program is geared towards adults and interested older children.
All children must be accompanied by an adult.
This Free Event is made possible by the Dominion Foundation and the
Cowanshannock Watershed Association, but donations are encouraged.
