Leatherworking, Wednesday, June 20, 2018, 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm, at Kittanning Public Library, 280 N Jefferson Street, Kittanning. Instructed by George Cancilla, owner and operator of GAC Outfitters. Cost of the class will be $!5 to cover price of the materials, pre-registration is required. Class limited to 10 in order to have individual attention. Participants will make and take a product they produced home with them. The class will learn basic leatherworking skills, a brief history of leather work, uses for leatherworking today, selecting quality leather products, tools needed to work leather, how to measure, mark, and cut leather, and how to stitch items using an awl and thread.
