Join Naturalist April Claus for an Introduction to Reptiles and Amphibians of Pennsylvania as she introduces you to things that creep and slither.
This hands-on interactive program introduces you to the reptiles and amphibians of Pennsylvania. Learn how to identify frogs and toads by their call, examine touchable models and learn how to identify the venomous snakes that live in our state. Meet and touch some LIVE snakes, toads, turtles and salamanders that are native to western Pennsylvania. You will be amazed at the important role these animals play in our local ecosystem!

Age level: Family program, appropriate for ages 7 and up
The Outdoor Discovery Center at Crooked Creek (ODC) is located 5 miles south of Ford City next to Crooked Creek Park. From Route 66, turn onto Crooked Creek Dam Rd. (SR2019), travel ½ mile. Turn left onto Kerr Road (T670) and travel ¼ mile. The ODC is located at the end of Kerr Road.
The Outdoor Discovery Center is a multi-use facility operated under the leadership of the Armstrong Center for Community Learning and is available year-round to organized groups and businesses for environmental education, workshops, meetings, or retreats.
