Attention Bird Watchers! Crooked Creek Environmental Learning Center is having their Project Feeder Watch and Christmas Bird Count event this Sunday, November 5th at the ELC.

Stop by from 2-3:30pm to learn how to help scientists track bird populations through the winter months. The session will cover identification of backyard birds that often visit your feeders and the data collection process.

Cost: FREE to the public but donations are suggested.

Ford City Renaissance Community Partnership present Ford City’s ”Fantasy of Lights” Celebration Saturday, November 25th from 4 to 8pm. 

This celebration of community-wide togetherness ringing in the Christmas Season offers free entertainment, activities, and events for all attending.

Since the “Fantasy of Lights” Celebration also happens to be during Small Business Weekend, several businesses along Ford Street and around town are offering business promotions & event specials, so check them out!

Also, check out the Live Nativity at the Ford Memorial United Methodist Church (1024 4th Avenue).  Refreshments & children’s crafts will be available inside the church.

The FCRCP is would also love to incorporate a “Cookie Walk” into the festivities.  If you would like to donate cookies of any kind, please contact them at the email or phone number above.  Cookies can be dropped off at S&T Bank in Ford City the morning of the event.

Leechburg will kick of the Christmas season Saturday, November 25th from 10am to 8pm with all kinds of festivities!

A parade will begin at 4:30pm (at the LVFC parking lot).  See live entertainment from violinest Gracie Zielinski outside of Market Street Antiques & Collectibles from 10-2pm.  See the storefronts lit and decorated and the lighting of the town tree at 6pm!
