The following proposed 2008/2009 hunting seasons are not exhaustive and do not include special seasons.

Turkey SPRING GOBBLER (Bearded bird only): April 25-May 25.

WILD TURKEY (Male or Female): Nov. 1-22.

BLACK BEAR Nov. 24-26.

DEER, ARCHERY (Antlered and Antlerless) Statewide: Oct. 4-Nov. 15 and Dec. 26-Jan. 10.

DEER (Antlered only): Dec. 1-5

DEER (Antlered and Antlerless) Statewide: Dec. 6-13.

DEER, ANTLERLESS MUZZLELOADER (Statewide): Oct. 18-25.

DEER, ANTLERED OR ANTLERLESS FLINTLOCK (Statewide): Dec. 26-Jan. 10.

The Kit-Han-Ne Chapter NWTF was organized in 1996. We have 12 active members with open meetings on the second Tuesday of each month. Odd months-Pinecreek Sportsmens Club, even months-Cherry Run Rod & Gun Club. Among other activities, we sponsor Youth Jakes Day(Youth instruction in turkey hunting and safety)and hold an annual banquet to support the National Wild Turkey Federation.

We are dedicated to the development, protection, and promotion of hiking, biking, and walking trails throughout western Pennsylvania. Armstrong County hosts a portion of the Baker Trail, a 132-mile hiking and backpacking trail which follows forest paths, old jeep trails, and paved roads. Each August, runners test themselves on the trail in our annual 50-mile Baker Trail UltraChallenge & Relay!
