Founded in 1908, the Apollo Memorial Library is the oldest library in Armstrong County. It serves the residents of Apollo, North Apollo, and the surrounding areas.  The Apollo Memorial Library’s mission is to promote literacy and lifelong learning while meeting changing community needs.

The library is also a certified Passport Acceptance Agency and has partnered with the Armstrong County Treasurer’s Office to be a dog license agent.

Founded in 2002, the Armstrong Community Theater is a community theater organization dedicated to providing a positive outlet for cultural and artistic expression to all of those who wish to entertain.

The Armstrong County Historical Museum & Genealogical Society is a local non-profit organization that has been collecting and preserving the historical artifacts and genealogical records of the county since 1924.

Armstrong Trails is a non-motorized, 36-mile rail trail located along the eastern bank of the Allegheny River in Armstrong and Clarion counties.

Arts on the Allegheny aims to enrich the cultural life of Western Pennsylvania by presenting free, high-quality entertainment at the John P. Murtha Amphitheatre in Kittanning and other venues. The well-attended summer concert series features local vendors and big-name performers for both residents and visitors to enjoy on land or anchored out in the Allegheny River.

A staple in Armstrong County for over 50 years, the Belmont Complex has it all — an indoor arena for amateur and high school ice hockey, learn-to-skate programs, and various events during the off-season, an Olympic-sized outdoor community pool and waterslide, and a banquet space for family gatherings, conferences, or meetings. Open daily from the beginning of June to mid-August, the Olympic-sized swimming pool and 150’ waterslide at the Belmont Complex is a wonderful place to spend a summer afternoon with the family. The pool features a beach entry, low dive area, playground, pavilions, and ADA-compliant locker rooms. The banquet room at the Belmont Complex is available for meetings, receptions, or other large events. It seats 200 and has an attached catering kitchen. Available equipment includes a large screen television, DVD player, projection screen and projector, microphone, and a sound system. There are also two pavilions in the pool area available for reservation. 

This gorgeous golf destination sits on 185 acres and features 18 distinct holes among the rolling hills of Freeport to provide a challenging and enjoyable experience. The combination of innovative design, professional construction, state-of-the-art irrigation, and superior turf care create a true golfer’s paradise. 

For 70 years, Bradigan’s Incorporated has provided Armstrong and the surrounding counties with quality petroleum products and services. The company, founded by Paul Bradigan, Sr., grew to become a fixture in the industry and the community. Paul Sr.’s sons, Tom and Paul Jr., entered the growing business in 1975 and welcomed his grandson, Andy, to the family business in 2003.

The Brick House Bed & Breakfast is a historic B&B situated along Redbank Creek with cabin rentals, RV hookups, and a unique treehouse or mine shaft stay. Pets are permitted in cabins only. 

The Marshall House, administered by the Dayton Area Local History Society, is open by appointment for tours. The society also serves homestyle meals for groups, reunions, etc. by reservation. Members of the society not only serve the meals, but also provide enjoyable vocal entertainment. At Christmas time, the house is appropriately decorated with trees in different rooms.
