Armstrong County Crops Day

The Armstrong Conservation District along with other partnering agencies invite you to attend the 2023 Armstrong County Crop’s Day. This workshop will be held at the Worthington Firehall in Worthington, Pennsylvania on February 22, 2023. This crop’s day workshop will include a warm breakfast prepared by the firehall, talks from various speakers, and credits for farmer/consultant certification.
The cost to attend is $10 for early bird registration and $20 after 2/14. Register by calling 877-345-0691 or online. Questions can be directed to Justin Brackenrich at 724-287-4761.
Schedule:
- 7:30 AM – registration and visit with sponsors
- 8 AM – breakfast and welcome
- 8:30 AM – agency updates
- 9:15 AM – IPM Approach to Corn and Soybean Insects
- 9:45 AM – Soil Fertility Check-up: How to Adjust Your Fertility Management in Fluctuating Markets
- 10:45 AM – Forage Insect Management
- 11:15 AM – wrap-up and visit with sponsors
- 11:30 AM – optional session for pesticide credits: Herbicide Modes of Action and Private Applicator Record Keeping
