Freeport’s Chalk Art Celebration

The 2nd annual Freeport Chalk Art Celebration is a FREE, family-friendly 2-day celebration being held at 300 5th Street, Freeport, PA 16229. The artists will begin on Friday July 28th and completion will be Saturday July 29th at 3PM. Walk up 5th Street and enjoy unique art chalk creations celebrating our beautiful and historic river town. Theme to be announced very soon!
Cash Prizes will awarded to the winners of the youth, adult, and group categories! This event will be judged by local art experts.
The theme is to be announced soon! Materials used will be chalk and chalk pastels, sponges and water bottles for blending. No other materials can be used.

The FRA will provide sidewalk chalk.
You are encouraged to bring chalk pastels, sponges, spray bottles, etc. Youtube has some great tutorials to make your art special!
A recommendation would be to begin early before it gets too hot! Or bring a pop up tent for yourself to provide shade- the tent cannot impede use of the sidewalk or access to storefronts.
Artists will be randomly assigned a section of sidewalk in Freeport. Artwork will begin no sooner than 6AM on July 28th and end no later than 3PM on July 29th. Winners will be announced before the FRA Free concert that evening in the Hope Garden.
If there is a rain cancellation, refund will be given minus Eventbrite fees (about $2 per ticket).
