Thanks to the Grable Foundation, the Armstrong Center for Community Learning and Outdoor Discovery Center at Crooked Creek has received funding to once again implement a variety of Knee High to Nature programs for early elementary-age children. These programs teach kids and their parents about a variety of nature and environmental topics in a fun and engaging way. This year, we’ll be collaborating with a variety of other partners to make the programs even better!

Soil and Worms: Earthworms are an important part of the soil ecosystem. Learn more about soil and the benefits of composting from the Armstrong Conservation District, and come face-to-face with a wiggly worm. You’ll learn about the life cycle of a worm and even try to answer the question, “Can worms smell?” Get a free compost bucket too!
