Join United Way as they facilitate the Poverty Spiral simulation in Armstrong County at the Experience Armstrong, Inc. Welcome Center in Kittanning. The Poverty Spiral provides an opportunity to increase empathy toward those in our region who experience poverty and better understand the decision-making required to survive in financial instability. This simulation requires you to put yourself in the shoes of someone else and face situations without clear solutions. We hope that this interactive and impactful experience will leave you with an open mind, challenge your preconceived notions about poverty, increase awareness of the struggles of many of our Southwestern PA neighbors, and ask yourself, “What next?”

Registration for this free educational experience is required, as space is limited.
