The Life of General Ulysses S. Grant

In this encounter, U.S. Grant will tell you how his reactions and decisions as a boy and young officer shaped the man he became, and how those same incidents that led to those decisions were all part of a greater destiny than any of us could decide for ourselves to lead a “ safe and good” life. U.S. Grant was a reluctant leader in many situations, but time and again proved up to the task. This discussion will focus on much of that experience.
The program is free and open to the public, and all ages are welcome. The program would be appropriate for ages 10 and up. Pre-registration is appreciated for planning purposes.
